locality was good, fabulous views
very dated in decor and style of hotel. Seems to be stuck in the 70s, linens, decor, layout of dining room and entertainment room. Dark and dismal, lots of stairs and doors, which meant not good for those with limited mobility, although there were some stairlifts.
Good friendly service,
Could do with the rooms we had redocorating !
Room 419 was very spacious
Our bed in room 419 was very hard car parking was limited and very dangerous to approach time to update your tv,s
Hotel is very run down and decor in room shabby. Had to push toilet paper into the gap in the balcony door to try to stop the wind whistling through it.
Good location, close to beach, spacious rooms and had balcony at no extra cost. Breakfast included, ease of booking, good rates.
Some of the older reception staff are rude and patronizing. I am a frequent guest and always feel belittled and insulted by the check-out staff despite being a professional in my late 20's.
This was the worst hotel I've stayed In in my life. The whole hotel is in dire need of refurbishment. The family room, although spacious, had threadbare carpets, wallpaper peeling off the walls and the bathroom was awful. The balcony was disgusting!
Most staff very friendly. Good food well presented. Value for money. Swimming pool is excellent.
Run down state is lamentable, sports rooms full of derelict pianos, reception staff need further training in customer skills. Eg. Ignoring waiting guests whilst answering the telephone. A little, "one moment please" would go a long way.
The views across the hillside and out to the beach are fantastic. The location of the hotel is within easy walking distance of the beach.
I did not like the fact that the water in the shower was cold. The Patio doors to the Balcony were unfit to use as they were not maintained properly. The room I was in was far too far away from the reception area with too many corridors. The access route to the carpark is so steep it is almost dangerous. The whole hotel requires a good clean on the outside and a decent lick of paint on the inside.
The staff were very good, breakfast fine, room clean and tidy.
Hotel in need of some TLC, decor in need of up grading, the bath in our room had been re-coated at some time, unfortunately was peeling off.
A great location, and pretty good facilities, but the hotel is very tired and needs a revamp. The room was spacious and well equiped, but wouldve been amazing when it was first done. Now, however it is tired and a bit grubby, but fine for a few nights. bed was fine however. Only the bathroom and balcony needs doing up. Staff were lovely, pool was probably great when first done but now is pretty dirty and the changing rooms are too. good location.
the hotel is very tired and badly needs upgrading. the bathrooms in particular were very poor. the furniture was mediocre. the hotel is on many levels and even after getting out of the lift we found it very difficult to negotiate all the stairs with a suitcase.
we used the hotel as a base whilst visiting friends that where holidaying in a caravan the hotel was good
Good service, it came up well to it,s 2* rating
some things in the hotel were a bit tired but management were in the process of renovation, hence 2*'s which I am sure will improve in the future. Value for money
staff very friendly food very good viewes over bay stunning when sun setts very relaxing break
Very run down hotel with jaded staff
