the royal was a delightful stay for our couple getaway. the cozy double room was comfy, clean, and quiet. we enjoyed the beautiful views over the river, and the location had tons of bars and restaurants nearby. the staff was exceptionally accommodating, especially when we needed assistance.

i like this hotel, the staff are great n super friendly. the room was comfy n clean, had a nice cozy vibe. the location is perfect for walking around town. enjoyed the views over the river, really beautiful. will def come back again next time im in town.

the room was a bit dated n could use some updating. plus, the noise from traffic was annoying at times.

Exceptional service, cozy atmosphere.

Friendly staff made check-in a pleasure, and my Cozy Double Room was clean and comfortable, perfect for a solo traveler. Breakfast offered a delightful variety, highlighted by one of the best omelettes I've enjoyed in a long time, showing the kitchen's quality. Parking was also a challenge. the small lot filled up quickly, leading to a longer walk to find alternatives. Still, the good food and welcoming atmosphere made up for these inconveniences.

i had a wonderful stay at the hotel. unlike my previous experience in bideford, this place exceeded my expectations with its friendly staff and cozy atmosphere. the breakfast was particularly memorable, featuring a lovely selection of dishes that really made my mornings special.

I stayed for one night and found the staff incredibly welcoming and the hotel very comfortable. Being just a short stroll from the beautiful Victoria Park and the fascinating Bideford Railway Heritage Centre was perfect for my weekend explorations.

Staying here was a delight! The location is just a stroll away from the river and town center, perfect for exploring. The cozy double room was warm and spotless, making it feel like a home away from home. After a long hike, being greeted with generous tea and coffee facilities was a lovely touch.

During my stay, I particularly appreciated the lovely dining room and lounge bar, both beautifully decorated and comfortable, making it an excellent space for relaxation. The staff were attentive and accommodating, making my experience all the more enjoyable.

More grab rails in the shower would be beneficial.

Just an appropriate option for a city escape in Bideford with fantastic value for money. Great welcome and a good room with a fantastic view! Arrive early for breakfast to avoid any attitude from the staff.
